President Rodrigo Duterte is now prominent around the world due to his #DRUGWAR campaign, in which his administration is very determined in eliminating drugs or anything related to it, including the addicts and pushers in the country. However, alledge violations to related human rights and extra judicial killings (EJK) issues spark debates amongst senators, high officials and even ordinary citizens have something to say about it, may it be negative or positive response.
“The campaign against illegal drugs drew public support and criticism as therelated deaths tipped 3,500 a week before the new government's first 100 days in office” (Ranada, 2016).
As the provision explains is theof a person by governmental authorities without the sanction of anyproceeding or legal process.punishments are mostly seen by humanity to be unethical, since they bypass the due process of the legal jurisdiction in which they occur.
Over hundreds of advocators of human rights together with the Commision on Human Rights (CHR) battles for this anti EJK campaign.
“I was the whipping boy [in] all [problems], even in the extrajudicial killing. Who wants to kill a person? We cannot build a nation over the dead bodies of our own citizens,” Duterte cited in Gita 2016.
As it appears, even President Duterte from his recent statements from different media outlets, he is against EJK however if national security triggers it would be better to kill than to kill the whole nation by letting this people corrupt the country.
What about you? What is your stand? Are you in favor of Extra Judicial Killings? What can you say about Extra Judicial Killings of PDU30 #DRUGWAR campaign?
